Industrial Robot Skills
نویسنده
چکیده
When robots are working in dynamic environments, close to humans lacking extensive knowledge of robotics, there is a strong need to simplify the user interaction and make the system execute as autonomously as possible. For industrial robots working side-by-side with humans in manufacturing industry, AI systems are necessary to lower the demand on programming time and expertise. One central concept in knowledge modeling for robots is action representation. In this paper, we describe our representation of robot skills. The skills have resource requirements, logical and procedural information from which executable code can be generated.

Haptic and Visual Training of System Behavior – a case study for Robotic Programming-by-Demonstration
Programming-by-demonstration (PBD) is a new paradigm for programming industrial robots enabled by the development of the DLR/KUKA light-weight robot. Although the PBD approach facilitates and simplifies the generation of robot programs, the technician still needs to have skills and knowledge about the robotic system in order to produce efficient trajectories and to exploit the abilities of the ...
متن کاملConcept for an Industrial Ubiquitous Assembly Robot
We present a concept of a ubiquitous industrial robot. It has been defined to consist of technologies of artificial intelligence, ubiquitous computing, sensor network and industrial robots. The advantages compared with current intelligent robots are that they are more autonomous and they have cognitive skills. A ubiquitous robot is interoperable with all sensors, computers and other devices aro...
متن کاملLearning Motion Skills from Expert Demonstrations and Own Experience using Gaussian Process Regression
While today’s industrial robots achieve high performance in a wide range of tasks, the programming and adaptation of such robots to new tasks is still time-consuming and far from convenient. This shortcoming is a major obstacle for the deployment of robots in small to medium-size companies and also for service applications. Robot learning by imitation has been identified as an important paradig...
متن کاملManipulating deformable linear objects: Sensor-based skills of adjustment motions for vibration reduction
The vibration of a deformable object is often a problem when it is automatically handled by a robot manipulator. However, humans can often handle and damp the vibration of deformable objects with ease. This paper presents force/torque sensor-based skills for handling deformable linear objects in a manner suitable to reduce acute vibration with simple human skill inspired strategies, that consis...
متن کاملOn the Integration of Hardware-Abstracted Robot Skills for use in Industrial Scenarios
In this paper, we present a method for programming robust, reusable and hardware-abstracted robot skills. The goal of this work is to supply mobile robot manipulators with a library of skills that incorporate both sensing and action, which permit robot novices to easily reprogram the robots to perform new tasks, as well as provide a more clear mapping between human and robot actions. Critical t...
